A few years ago now Stevie was fronting country band - Cactus Jack - touring through Germany. Wanting to play more bike rallies and wishing to work solo with the mandolin (with the addition sometimes of harmonica) Stevie started gigging out on his own whilst still with Cactus Jack, opening out his repetoire playing the songs of
Steve Earle, Townes Van Zant, Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention, Jimmy LaFave, The Proclaimers, Small Faces, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Alice Cooper !! and so much more. These days he works solo and is still playing the favorites that have made him a well known fixture on the rally scene along with material from his solo albums ' .... a little further down the line' and ' Too Poor For Trailer Trash ' both of which are on sale at gigs and through this website at £7.00 + £1 p&p.

Stevie 'LIVE' is gutsy, edgy and raw - a hardcore, barstool troubadour - with a voice as raw as cigarettes and single malt in a backstreet bar late on a Saturday night.
Raised on the south coast of England, Stevie played in a couple of rock bands trying (and sometimes succeeding) to write original songs. Moving to Reading he joined metal band IronHeart and it was around this time he discovered, through local rock show presenter Brian Pithers (R.I.P - Rock In Perpetuity mate), the music of Steve Earle. After IronHeart he toured in the UK and France with hard rock band The Pack. Taking a break from music when The Pack split, Stevie eventually joined country band Kane & Co. remaining with them for four years, touring throughout the UK, Germany and Poland, playing on major country festivals in the UK, Spain, France, Poland, Denmark, and Holland, and releasing an album along the way, recorded in Nashville, called ' Raising Kane' . On leaving Kane & Co. he formed Cactus Jack and toured with them extensively throughout Germany for two years whilst releasing two albums, including the highly acclaimed '...ain't nothin' like PRESSURE' of which he wrote a majority of the material.
For a few years now Stevie has been playing many bike rallies and parties. Chances are you've already seen him. If not, check out the gigs section.

LATEST NEWS : WOW !! Once again this has been another fantastic year so far. I've had some truely great audiences to play to and I recorded my second solo album, once again at Park Studios in Bracknell with Damon Sawyer at the controls.
The Wight Riders Gurt Gallybagger Rally at the end of April was fun. Travelling north for the No.1 Rally was a good trip which I'm hoping to make again in 2007, picking up a support slot with General Skullduggery in Nottingham on the way home the next day was icing on the cake.

The NABD Rally at Astle Park in Cheshire was really good too. It was the first chance to sell copies of the new album 'Too Poor For Trailer Trash', every copy that I had with me sold and sales have been steady since both at gigs and via the post. The Welsh International Motorcycle Show was a success too and a couple of ideas for next years show are now being worked on - keep checking back here for more info. At the beginning of June I played at the Chopper Club's Shires Show to a welcoming crowd. A week later I was off abroad on a trip that had been in planning for a year. I rode my wife's '82 Suzuki GS650 around the Baltic, travelling through Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland finishing up in Germany at my club's Summer Party before heading home. Since getting back there have been gigs at Blissfields Festival and for The East Coast Harley Riders, Ogri MCC and the Ali Bongos MCC along with the August Bank Holiday at the Angelsey Bike Show. I even got to play a few songs on the main stage at the HAMC Bulldog Bash thanx to Rod Lawless, Big Chris and Bob Balchin. Summer is now drawing to a close but we've a few weeeks yet and hopfully we'll have good weather for the next few rallies. To the bands that have invited me up to play at various gigs this year many thanx. I've got a couple of jobs to do on the chop an' that'll be out on the road again. If I ain't needin' to take a PA with me to some rallies then you'll see me there on 'MiNE' as I like to call it. There's some gigs already on the cards for next year, I'll be playing at Americana '07 along with various rallies and I'll keep you posted as to where and when I'll be playing. 'Til then, take care out there an' have a great Summer/Autumn. See ya in a field someplace.
Stevie.
